Instructor: Wayne Elliott

Join professional artist, Wayne Elliot, in this three-part series to learn about the process of capturing your favourite fluffy friend on paper!

Using basic pencil sketching techniques, you will start by understanding shapes and how to work with them for the foundation of any animal sketch.

In week two, you will be introduced to perspective and how the placement of shapes and lines adds the dimensions which make your pet unique.

Week three will be dedicated to colour and shading and how to finalize the capture of your pet’s personality and colouring.

This is a theory as well as practical application workshop where you will be given time to apply your learning under Wayne’s guidance, as you work towards a completed portrait you’ll be proud to display in your home.

All materials are provided – except the picture/s of your pet which you will provide.

Practice outside the class is strongly recommended to develop your skills.

** Each participant is asked to bring a selection of three or four photos of their pet to review and discuss with the instructor during the first class, before selecting which photo you will focus on for the purpose of this class.
