Instructor: Rachel E. Smith

This workshop is for caregivers of loved ones with dementia, as well as family members and friends. Participants will learn theatre-based techniques to support imaginative engagement, maintain composure in unexpected situations, and adapt to a changing atmosphere.

No acting experience or interest in acting is required to benefit from the workshop.

All exercises are led in a supportive, accessible, and low-pressure environment with Rachel, who has a personal connection with Dementia, having spent her mid to late twenties as her father’s caregiver alongside her mother.  This is Rachel’s way to help others who are navigating the changes and challenges that Dementia brings.

Rachel E Smith is a director, producer, actor, writer and educator.
