Ringette is a Canadian game that was first introduced in 1963 in North Bay, Ontario. It is a fast-paced team sport on ice in which players use a straight stick to pass, carry, and shoot a rubber ring to score goals.
The Gym Ringette program focuses on providing a quality sport experience for participants. Quality sport experiences are fun, positive, safe, and inclusive, and key to keeping youth engaged in sport and physical activity.
The first part of the program will be learning the rules and skills of the game. The second part is putting it all together and playing Gym Ringette.
For safety purposes, all registrants are required to come prepared with a hockey helmet with protective face cage
